Why take the AFO course?
The Aquatic Facility Operator Course and Certification is a nationally recognized certification accredited by the National Recreation and Park Association. This certifications satisfies health department training requirements for swimming pool and spa operators working on public facilities in all fifty states. The certification is good for five years from successful passage of the AFO Exam. It will undoubtedly enhance your career because you will suddenly be a vital piece of the puzzle in any recreation center.
The AFO Certification (AFO) is widely regarded as the most prestigious aquatic certification in the world because of its’ juxtaposition with concepts of management and profitability. It is written from the perspective of an actual swimming pool operator, not a chemist or swimming pool parts vendor. Our instructors have a wealth of experiences to help apply the AFO material through story telling in a way that is entertaining, easy to understand, relevant and helpful.

When will I receive my book?
Books will be shipped to student two weeks before the course or on successful completion and submission of payment. Students who register less than one week before the course should not expect to receive their book before the day of the course.
Do you offer a hands on workshop?
Yes. In many cases I can customize my training program to help acclimate you to your equipment. This service comes at an additional cost. References available.
Do you need to have a pool to teach the course?
No. I am able to teach or present in any conference room or private teaching room you may have available.
What if I don’t pass on the first attempt?
There is no limit to the number of times you can take the exam. The exam is always held on day two of the class at 13:30 MT. Exam retests are $150 and you do not have to retake the course to book the exam.

Cancellation Policy:
In the event you are unable to attend my course you will be credited to attend a future course. Cash refunds are not allowed because of the costs attributed with offering the AFO Course. Room rentals, food, books and shipping expense are not recoverable for the instructor. You may reregister on our website under the Upcoming AFO tab of our website for free up to one time, and additional reschedules will be billed at a cost of $40.
